Maisha International Orphanage (MIO) is a nonprofit humanitarian organization operating as a project of Congressional District Programs (CDP), a 501(c)3 whose purpose is to “Encourage Philanthropy by empowering people to help people.” Our programs and services have reached out to children and families in need from different slums and villages of Kenya Areas that Maisha is currently serving at are Kibera one of the biggest slums in Nairobi, Nyalenda, Obunga, Siaya and Kano in kisumu. These programs include feeding, education, medical, orphanages, schools, community development, Home base case, water and sanitation HIV/AIDs education, ministry, etc.
