Happy Anniversary to Michael & Samona Votaw, who celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary today. Michael arranged to surprise Samona with renewing their vows while in Kenya on Christmas missions at Maisha. We are privileged to have their family on Team Maisha and to share in this ceremony as witnesses. The event began with the Maisha widows leading a procession with praise music and dancing up the aisle followed by the Votaw’s. Pastor George Kennedy of Dominion Church in Kisumu officiated and gave a spirited lesson on the covenant of marriage and how to honor your wife. In Kenya, women are the fabric of life, but men honoring and recognizing them as such has fallen short. I pray the Votaw’s devotion and the spirit of the joy in marriage they imparted today will take seed and grow in the hearts of every man, woman and child in the Maisha community.
Thanks man of God for officiating that ceremony. I bless the Lord for Pastor Mr & Mrs George Kennedy for they are my role models. A few years as a missionary under the World trumpet Mission, they really nurtured us and took care of us.
